Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing I Love Akumal to book your upcoming vacation to the Riviera Maya in Akumal, Mexico.  Please keep in mind that you are renting a private residence; therefore, we always like to speak live with our guests and we also need a bit more time to get you our agreement (usually less than 24 hours).

AGREEMENT: Your reservation will be confirmed and your credit card will be charged AFTER you review and e-sign our standard rental agreement which we will send you shortly.  The agreement outlines the dates, house rules, and our cancellation policy which is below.  After receiving your agreement and payment, we will send you a confirmation and our trip planner which includes helpful tips, maps, directions and important phone numbers.

PAYMENTS: 50% of the invoice is due to book the property (100% for holidays) and the balance is due 60 days before check-in.

 DAMAGE DEPOSIT: Guest agrees to pay a refundable damage deposit of $500 US via credit card / PayPal at time of booking. Any damages in excess of “normal wear and tear” will be deducted from the deposit which will be returned within one week of check-out.  Any damages in excess of $500 will be charged to the credit card.

TRIP INSURANCE:  We strongly suggest that you purchase Trip Insurance to protect you against unforeseen travel, health and weather issues.

CANCELLATIONS:  Regardless of the reason, there are no refunds for holiday week cancellations.  Holiday weeks include New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Any non-holiday week cancellation greater than 60 days from check-in will receive a 50% credit of the amount paid that can be applied to the same villa for a future date.  There are no refunds for any cancellation made less than 60 days from check-in.

Finally, it’s important to sign the agreement AND make your payment within 48 hours; otherwise, your requested villa / time period may be released to another group.
